A U.S common core curriculum international school is seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Studies educator to join its academic team. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver effective, engaging lessons in line with the Common Core curriculum

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and student-centred classroom environment

  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress using a range of assessment strategies

  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students

  • Support the academic, social, and emotional development of students

  • Maintain accurate records of student achievement, attendance, and behaviour

  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, teaching strategies, and school initiatives

  • Communicate professionally and regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress

  • Contribute to the wider school community through meetings, events, and extracurricular activities

  • Uphold school policies, safeguarding expectations, and professional standards at all times

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies, Education, or a related subject

  • Recognized teaching qualification

  • Previous experience teaching Social Studies within a school setting

  • Strong subject knowledge

  • Ability to plan and deliver effective, student-centered lessons

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team

  • Commitment to student wellbeing, safeguarding, and academic achievement

  • Professional level of spoken and written English

Nice to Have

  • Experience teaching an international curriculum

  • Previous teaching experience in the Gulf region or in an international school environment

  • Ability to contribute to extracurricular activities, school projects, or student enrichment programs

  • Experience using educational technology to enhance teaching and learning

  • Master’s degree in Education or a related field
