About the Role

The Secondary English Teacher will create engaging and meaningful learning experiences that promote strong literacy, communication, and analytical skills. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver effective English Language and Literature lessons aligned with curriculum guidelines

  • Support students in developing reading, writing, speaking, and critical‑thinking skills

  • Use varied instructional methods to meet the needs of diverse learners

  • Assess student learning through assignments, projects, and examinations

  • Provide timely, constructive feedback to support continuous academic growth

  • Build a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment

  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and instructional practices

  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress

  • Engage with parents and guardians to discuss student development

  • Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related subject

  • Recognized teaching qualification for secondary education i.e PGCE

  • Previous experience teaching English at the secondary level

  • Strong understanding of English curriculum standards and assessment practices

  • Excellent communication and classroom‑management skills

  • Ability to adapt to a new cultural and professional environment

  • Commitment to fostering respect for local customs and cultural values

Nice to Have

  • Experience teaching in the Middle East or within an international school setting

  • Familiarity with American curriculum frameworks

  • Advanced degree in English or Education
