Secondary Art Teacher

Byron Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Secondary Art Teacher to join a forward-thinking international school in the United Arab Emirates. This role offers the opportunity to inspire creativity, foster artistic skills, and guide students as they develop confidence in visual expression. The successful candidate will contribute to a supportive learning environment where students are encouraged to explore a variety of artistic techniques and ideas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured Art lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum for Secondary students

  • Support students in developing technical skills across a range of artistic mediums

  • Encourage critical thinking and creative problem-solving through project-based learning

  • Assess student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback

  • Contribute to the planning and development of the Art curriculum

  • Organize and support art exhibitions, showcases, and related school events

  • Create an inclusive classroom environment that values creativity, individual expression, and collaboration

  • Work closely with colleagues to support cross-curricular initiatives and whole-school activities

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • B.Ed with a Major in Art OR

  • B.Ed in another subject with a minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching Art at Secondary level OR

  • BA + PGCE (QTS)

Nice to Have

  • Experience teaching in an international or multicultural school setting

  • Familiarity with inquiry-based or student-centered learning approaches

  • Experience supporting extracurricular art activities, clubs, or competitions

Package Includes

  • Tax-free salary ranging from 9,000 – 12,000 AED per month(depending on experience)
