School Librarian

This well respected international school in Hong Kong is looking for a new Librarian to join their faculty for the 2026/27 academic year

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated love for and deep knowledge of children’s and young‑adult literature

  • Proven experience inspiring reading engagement in school or community settings with learners aged 4-14

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong organisational and event‑planning capacity

  • Ability to build positive, collaborative relationships with children, colleagues, and families

  • Proficiency in spoken and written English

  
  

  Desired

  
  

  • Formal qualification or graduate study in Library & Information Science, Children’s Literature, or Education

  • Experience coordinating literacy or storytelling events

  • Teaching qualification or classroom experience

  • Familiarity with digital library systems and platforms

  • Experience with marketing or promoting literary initiatives

    Benefits:

• Salary range $31,000 - $45,000 HKD depending on qualifications and experience

• Pension. The school will make contributions in accordance with the Hong Kong SAR authorities
