PYP Primary Teacher

About the Role

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic PYP Primary Teacher to join an international school in Vietnam. This role is ideal for an educator who is passionate about inquiry-based learning and dedicated to supporting the holistic development of young learners. You will guide students through the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP), fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons aligned with the IB PYP framework

  • Create a supportive, inclusive, and student-centered classroom environment

  • Use inquiry-based teaching methods to encourage exploration and problem solving

  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and families

  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine curriculum and learning experiences

  • Integrate technology and a range of learning tools to enhance instruction

  • Participate in school events, professional development, and community activities

  • Contribute to the ongoing evaluation and improvement of PYP practices within the school

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field

  • Teaching certification valid for primary/elementary education

  • Experience teaching primary-aged students

  • Understanding of inquiry-based learning approaches

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multicultural team

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience teaching in an IB PYP school

  • IB PYP training or certification

  • Experience working in an international or multilingual environment

  • Familiarity with differentiated instruction and inclusive classroom strategies
