Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the British Columbia (BC) curriculum.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters students' academic, social, and emotional development.
Assess and evaluate students' progress through a variety of assessment methods.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students' academic performance and behaviour.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding students' progress and any concerns.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and curriculum plans.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe and respectful learning environment.
Organize and participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and field trips.
Support students' individual learning needs and provide additional assistance as required.

Bachelor’s degree in Education, PGCE or a related field.
Valid teaching certification recognized by the British Columbia Ministry of Education or willingness / international qualifications suitable to obtain certification.
Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or BC curriculum school.
Strong understanding of the BC curriculum and educational standards.
Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.
Cultural sensitivity and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of a diverse student population.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and lifelong learning.
Proficiency in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
