Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Junior Teacher (Male) to support students’ academic, social, and personal development within a positive and well-structured learning environment. This role is ideal for an early-career educator who is passionate about helping young learners build confidence, curiosity, and strong foundational skills.

The successful candidate will work closely with lead teachers and school staff to deliver engaging lessons, maintain a supportive classroom atmosphere, and contribute to the wider life of the school community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and delivery of lessons that are engaging, age-appropriate, and aligned with the school’s curriculum

  • Assist in creating a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment where students can thrive

  • Help manage classroom routines and student behaviour in line with school policies

  • Provide individual and small-group support to students to reinforce learning and improve understanding

  • Monitor student participation, progress, and wellbeing, and share relevant observations with senior teaching staff

  • Prepare classroom materials, learning resources, and displays to support effective teaching and learning

  • Supervise students during class, break times, school activities, and other assigned duties

  • Encourage students’ personal development, positive behaviour, and respect for others

  • Support assessment activities, record keeping, and other administrative tasks as required

  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, school events, and wider extracurricular activities

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff to promote student success

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field

  • Previous teaching or classroom support experience in a school setting is preferred

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents

  • Good classroom management skills and a supportive, student-focused approach

  • Sound organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Commitment to safeguarding, student welfare, and professional standards

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • Professional, dependable, and adaptable in a school environment

  • Willingness to contribute to the broader school community

Nice to Have

  • Teaching qualification or certification

  • Experience working in an international school environment

  • Familiarity with British, American, IB, or other international curricula

  • Experience supporting extracurricular or pastoral activities

  • Strong IT skills for classroom and administrative use
