High School Math Teaching Job
This well respected international school in Hong Kong is looking for a new High School Math Teacher to join their faculty in August 2023.
If you are locally based and currently living in Hong Kong we would be interested in speaking with you. While experienced and well qualified international candidates will be considered for this role, those candidates already living and working in Hong Kong will be given preference.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education
Applicants must have a PGCE or equivalent Teaching Certification.
Native-level proficiency of English speaking, reading and writing applicants only.
Ability to teacher Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Advanced Statistics and Physics (foundational through to Advanced Placement Level)
Excellent knowledge of subject content and pedagogy
Knowledge of and experience in using diverse assessments and applying differentiated learning strategies (for both learning support and learning extension students)
Comprehensive technology skill-set
Strong organizational and time managements skills
Sees themselves as a learner, with a positive and solutions-oriented outlook
Roles and Responsibilities
Secondary School Math - Gifted Program
Attend, participate and collaborate in goal setting, grade cluster, faculty and/or transition meetings for incoming/outgoing students.
Use evidence-based strategies to collect, record, report data, and implement strategies for both academic and behavior support plans.
Provide regular ongoing communication with parents, teachers, and admin regarding student progress.
Schedule and/or attend, IEP meetings, Parent-Teacher Conferences and update reports and IEP’s as required in your role.
Teacher Benefits:
Salary range $31,000 - $50,000 HKD depending on qualifications and experience
Pension. The school will make contributions in accordance with the Hong Kong SAR authorities
