High School Chemistry Teacher

Job Purpose (Overview)

regularly reflect and research up-to-date teaching strategies for continuous improvement, for their

own, and students’ benefit.

the ability to work and communicate collaboratively within a team, assist with the holistic

development of students and the school, and be open and willing to undertake duties in addition to

their teaching duties.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Bachelor Degree in education; or

• Bachelor Degree in the relevant subject with PGCE or equivalent

• Relevant subject-matter teaching experience

• 1-3 years’ teaching experience with a recognised educational organisation

• Proficiency in written and spoken English (native speaker level)

• Excellent knowledge of subject content and pedagogy

• Knowledge of and experience in using diverse assessments and applying differentiated

• learning strategies (for both learning support and learning extension students)

• Comprehensive technology skill-set

• Strong organisation and time managements skills

• Sees themselves as a learner, with a positive and solutions-oriented outlook

• Preferred

• Previous experience or familiarity with American education system

• Previous experience with Google suite
