IBDP Physics Teacher

About the Role

This position is for an experienced Physics educator to teach within the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) at an IB World School in Vietnam. The teacher will guide students through the IBDP Physics curriculum, support inquiry‑based learning, and contribute to the broader academic and pastoral life of the school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach IBDP Physics, delivering engaging lessons that support conceptual understanding and scientific inquiry

  • Plan units and assessments in alignment with IB standards and school curriculum guidelines

  • Support students in Internal Assessments, Extended Essays, and other IB requirements

  • Use varied teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs and styles

  • Monitor and report on student progress through meaningful feedback and documentation

  • Collaborate with department colleagues on curriculum planning and cross‑disciplinary initiatives

  • Contribute to school life through participation in events, assemblies, meetings, and extracurricular activities

  • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Science Education, or a closely related field

  • Teaching certification or relevant professional teaching qualification

  • Successful experience teaching Physics at the upper‑secondary level

  • Familiarity with the IB Diploma Programme, including assessment expectations

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to support students from diverse cultural backgrounds

Nice to Have

  • Prior teaching experience in an IB World School

  • Experience supporting student research projects or laboratory work

  • Additional teaching subjects within the sciences

  • Experience working in an international school setting
